Description: This is a beautiful most sought after vintage set of two fur clips consisting with rhodium plated silver-tone mounts. The most famous and sought after Coro sets are the Verrecchio birds. Here is a lovely pair of the birds – I don’t have the back joining clip that makes them a duette but they look beautiful as two fur clips or brooches. They are all set with beautiful crystal chatons and enamels. Beautiful set! Calopsitta duette is featured in Brunialti’s ‘American Costume Jewelry: Art & Industry, 1935-1950 on page 98. They were patented on April 8, 1941.
Condition: Good vintage condition with normal metal, enamel and rhinestone wear for its age. Please note that all rhinestones are intact with some discoloration which is normal. There is enamel chipping. The back joining the pieces together are not with this piece and will not be included.
